She/Her

Clinical Social Worker

Destiny.Fitzpatrick@therapytodaycc.com

My approach to therapy is by first building rapport and understanding for what goals my client is trying to achieve and what skills they are looking to learn. When I’m in therapy sessions, I am the listener, the student, and in some cases I will be the teacher. I consider myself equal to my client as we are all humans trying to be our best selves. I believe that therapy is not only a time for reflection but also a place where you can be completely vulnerable and seek advice on situations that may have you at a standstill in life. Therapy is a professional relationship with someone who’s main goal is to helping their client be their true self and reach their personal/professional goals.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children completing child and family therapy, substance abuse counseling , working closely with those with severe mental illness while being apart of an Assertive Community Treatment team(ACT), and I now currently working full time as a Access worker, completing eligibility screens, hospital discharge appointments, and intakes to get people linked to services. I have worked with those who struggles with severe mental illness, but I also have experience with those who have mild/moderate mental health concerns.
