Reid Depowski, LLMSW

Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Development Coordinator

“A therapist is someone who joins you in your deepest darkness with a flashlight to help you find your way out.”

My approach to therapy is relationship focused, as I believe our work is only possible through a strong, therapeutic foundation. I appreciate the unique complexities of your life, and will help you recognize your inner strengths as we walk this journey together.

I have previous experience on an adult psychiatric inpatient unit at University of Michigan hospital. This formed my holistic understanding of the people I work with and the barriers they face, and it sharpened my crisis intervention skills. I was inspired by the therapeutic relationships I built in this setting, which is why I transitioned to working in private practice: to build long-term, supportive, therapeutic relationships to help everyone I work with reach their goals and lead more fulfilling lives.
