“Remember we all stumble, every one of us. That’s why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand.” – Emily Kimbrough

I like to take a strengths-based & person-centered approach when it comes to therapy. It is integral for me to cheer you on and celebrate your wins as you fight your toughest battles. Every individual has inherent strengths, talents, and abilities that can be channeled to promote positive change. You deserve the space to take an active role in your own growth and development. Therapy is a collaborative process in which you have the right to make your own informed decisions while I help you set and reach desired goals. I also recognize that individuals are complex with a variety of abilities and challenges, so goals are tailored to your needs.

I have experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds. While completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology, I assisted and advocated for young adults on the autism spectrum at their workplace or college. After graduating, I worked as a neurofeedback technician, helping children and adults with ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic illness receive neurofeedback treatment and additional health coaching. In 2022, I co-lead a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group and provided individual therapy to adults and children with anxiety disorders, trauma, and depression during my time at the University of Michigan, working towards earning a Master’s of Social Work degree.
