My approach requires a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship as I believe this is one of the most important parts of the process. Together we will work to create an environment where you feel safe, your strengths are emphasized, your individual diversity is celebrated, and your treatment is paced appropriately for you. My eclectic approach allows the flexibility needed to meet each person where they are and help them move forward in processing past challenges and growing more prepared to meet future challenges. My goal is to help you navigate the systems and relationships that influence your day to day life and challenge you to see how your own strength will provide you with resilience to face life with confidence and determination.
With 10 years of experience in the social work field prior to joining the team at Therapy Today, I am prepared to help you navigate the hurdles that hold you back from achieving your personal goals. My experience in areas such as crisis assessment for those with depression, anxiety, and self-harm behaviors in the medical/hospital setting; providing group individual and family counseling in a residential facility with youth involved in the court system and in children’s foster care, have reinforced my desire to practice in a longer-term therapy setting.
