Leslie Auld, ACSW, LMSW, director and therapist of Therapy Today Counseling & Consulting, knows all too well the challenges faced in therapy and has developed a tried and tested training program, to address these concerns and more in the form of Therapy School. Therapy School is a trans-theoretical skills training program that is ISTDP-informed and teaches skills not found in traditional education programs. No matter your preferred approach, the skills learned in Therapy School will complement and enhance the work you are already doing by teaching you how to go the next level deeper to get to the core of the problem, to identify the engine driving the symptoms and deactivate it.
Therapy School is delivered via 90-minute interactive Zoom sessions. Forty-nine (49) novel skills are taught and actively practiced helping therapists gain comfort and understanding in how to effectively apply them. Therapists receive a finely honed set of interventions inside a practical framework within which they can work reliably to help each client. Once learned, the specific core interventions can be tailored to fit the therapist’s own approach.
Continuing Education: A year-long commitment is required to receive the full benefit of the course and 1.5 CE hours will be earned and issued for each completed class. Employees of Therapy Today receive this course at no charge as part of their compensation package.
Cost: $40.00 per class, charged quarterly, is required of non-employee therapists.
When: Classes will be beginning October 27th, 2022 and occur weekly on Thursdays from 4:30pm – 6pm.
