TTX12To benefit from each visit with your therapist at Therapy Today and to make sure your questions and concerns are addressed follow these tips:

  • Write your questions ahead of time and bring them to your appointment
  • Take notes during your visit, if you like
  • Ask for clarification whenever necessary
  • Ask for a list of resources where you can find more information
  • Be honest and persistent about issues that concern you
  • Trust your instincts in your search to find a compatible therapist.  If you find yourself in with a therapist who doesn’t fit, Therapy Today staff will work with you to find the right fit whether it is within or outside of our office
  • {A wise woman once said that finding a therapist is much like finding a pair of shoes.  It is important to get the right fit in order to be comfortable.  In therapy, it is important to be comfortable in order to trust enough to do the sometimes difficult work of therapy.}

In an individual therapy session you and your Therapy Today therapist will identify life challenges and explore causes. Your therapist will help you understand why your past efforts haven’t been working and work with you to develop alternative solutions. Sessions are conducted in a warm, safe, soothing environment. You will be encouraged to discuss whatever is on your mind or weighing on your heart.
