“As much as has been written and said about bipolar disorder, there is much to catch up on. DSM 5 brought some changes in how we diagnose the problem, which we will review. We’ll discuss how to screen for and monitor symptoms. We’ll review the biology of the disorder, and touch on some of the newest developments in our understanding in this area. We’ll look at the psychosocial impact of the disorder, and ways to intervene, including discussion of psychotherapy. Then we’ll review biological treatments with a focus on some of the newest information. We’ll reserve time at the end for questions, discussion, and exploration of items of particular interest. I’m looking forward to seeing you all there!”
Immediately followed by Therapy Today’s Social Hour. Beverages and appetizers will be served.
